St. Augustine Preparatory School counts with a dedicated Guidance Department to address the needs of the student body. Among the services it provides are individual and group counseling and group guidance. Through the academic year the department hosts a number of guest speakers to address different health and development issues. The Guidance Department also heads the Character Counts! Character Education Program.
CHARACTER COUNTS!
Parallel to the academic and religious programs, St. Augustine Preparatory School uses the Character Counts Education Program to foster six pillars of character: Trustworthiness, Fairness, Respect, Caring, Responsibility and Citizenship. The School Counselor heads this effort with teacher support so that students learn about and put into practice the six pillars throughout the school year.
